Carol Salveson
Carol is our lead dog trainer. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KSA) and attended specialized courses to learn how to train service dogs. She has been training service dogs since 2017. After her oldest son, Bobby, a decorated Green Beret died by suicide, she knew she needed to do something to help veterans dealing with Post Traumatic Stress. Bobby shared her love of dogs. By training service dogs for veterans, she has found a way to honor his memory and help other veterans.
Before becoming a dog trainer, Carol spent 20 years in the Air Force as a weather forecaster and then 12 years as a special education teacher. Her husband, Joe, and her youngest son, Brian, have supported her through this journey by helping her raise, train, and love every dog that comes through the program.
