4 Paws Obedience Training offers group classes and private lessons for puppies and adult dogs. They assist with basic obedience such as sit, stay, down, leash walking, and come, as well as curtail unwanted behaviors. They are certified and serve Chicago's western suburbs, including Lisle, Downers Grove, Westmont, Hinsdale, Oakbrook, Naperville, and Woodridge.

The group class for puppies and adult dogs meets at Downers Grove Animal Hospital and lasts for 6 weeks. It covers basic obedience cues and solutions to common problems such as chewing, digging, jumping, and more. An advanced group class is offered during the summer, providing a review of obedience cues, a small introduction to agility and rally obedience, as well as a chance to learn a few tricks. At the end of class, owners and their canine friends can take the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen test (CGC). Those not part of the classes can still register for the CGC Test. Additionally, they offer a K9 Games Event, providing a fun way to review through games and family fun. For more information, interested individuals can call or visit the website.

Customer Reviews

  • Margo S.: “Pam teaches in an effective, fun, and easy-going way. She is very patient with both the dogs and the dog owners. Poppy has learned to sit, stay, lie down, “leave it” and wait to be invited through the door. With Pam’s techniques, our dog learned quickly and easily. We didn’t think she could ever behave this well!”
  • Kim G.: “I would highly recommend Enjoy Your Dog training classes by owner Pam Yano... I can not say enough about how grateful I am for her support, patience, and time she devotes to helping you understand and guide you into working and training with your puppy. What I like the most is classes are small with a maximum of 4 puppies per class. I felt like I was getting quality learning and help in teaching my puppy which resulted in Charlie making great progress.”
  • Lynette R, Jim B & Junior: “Not sure if my husband and I or Junior (our pup) had more fun. We went through a ton of different games, toys, and activities... It was really fun to see Junior be so involved and excited. I would have never known he liked them if we didn’t do class last night. Another perk was he was dead tired when we got home!”
