Customer Reviews
Catherine Clark Walsh: Beth at Rehab Your Rescue Behavior Services is wonderful. We had a foster pup who had fear based aggression with my daughter. Beth came to our house to work with the foster pup and us. She gave us easy to implement, effective ideas to help the foster understand that my daughter was safe. Then while she was at our home, she also identified a long standing issue with one of our dogs. Our dog does not trust new people in our home, but she took to Beth immediately and Beth gave us ideas to help our dog work through her protectiveness. We couldn't recommend Beth with more confidence, thank you Beth for your help!
Lori Ayers Schweers: Beth is incredibly helpful! She helped us with our English Setter rescue as he was lurching and barking at other dogs on our walks. He is not always a perfect gentleman, but most of the time, he is responsive to us and so much better at not reacting to other dogs on walks. She immediately connected with Gibson and showed us so many great tips to get his attention that we would have never figured out. Definitely recommend!!
Elizabeth Zuerker: I won’t train with anyone else. Beth truly knows her stuff, and is so patient and kind. Both my dogs love her, and love all the treats they get while training :). She always has research and examples to share after each session and she’s real with you about progress and makes sure you are real with your expectations. I’m very appreciative because she always makes sure I am doing the best for my dogs, or using the right kind of training to ensure they are happy and mentally and physically healthy.
Katie Knowlton: I started working with Beth at Rehab Your Rescue at the beginning of October 2020, a week after fostering and falling in love with a rescue. Suffice to say at the time I formally adopted him, I didn’t know the full details of his fear aggression and had never either rescued a dog before or had any experience of dogs with behavioral issues.
At the start of my journey there were two things I was sure of; I wasn’t going to give up on him and I absolutely was not going to condone training using anything other than force free.
It became apparent very quickly that my rescue had what to me was severe reactivity & aggression to strangers in the house. Beth came for an initial consultation and met us so she could assess him and we agreed a training plan which we regularly reviewed and made changes as appropriate. Beth was also able to connect me to a Behavioral Vet Specialist when the time was right for us and the two of them have worked hand in hand, which has really felt like the coordinated care you’d experience yourself as a patient.
I knew it wasn’t going to be a quick fix, we’ve stalled at times & taken steps back, but Beth’s support & faith in us never wavered. We set realistic goals and we’ve hit some big milestones, with more to come.
Do yourself a favor, the world and his wife will have suggestions of how you can train your dog and things you can try, leave it to the professionals!
Becky Brehl: My beloved dog was struggling with separation anxiety, which changed the way the whole house lived. We had worked with another trainer but had plateaued. We couldn’t go out for dinner together without finding a babysitter for our dog.
Beth helped us to find what was going wrong in our training to move ahead. Our dog has been able to be alone more than ever before. It’s really improved the quality of life for all of us. Even though we’ve “graduated,” I still want to text Beth about every success!
Beth has always been very honest with us. She was up front about what she expected and what we could expect. Once we called her, expecting it to be the beginning of a new training program, and she told us we didn’t need a new training program, we just needed to return our dog to his better routine.
Beth was also able to help us with some other problems we’ve had, even from the other side of the country. Having her on our team made the hard work seem possible. I wholeheartedly recommend her.
Mary Claire Carrick: Beth and her team have an unmatched genuine care for each dog and family she encounters. I have never met someone who wanted to see our dog grow and learn just as much as we did! She immediately saw what our pup could learn and become rather than the challenges he faced- this was so refreshing for us. Beth was incredibly responsive to any question I had - which allowed us to feel confident and set up for success in our training. Beth is the definition of an advocate, ally, encourager, professional, and educator. I would recommend Beth 10/10 times and will forever refer to her with our training and behavior questions.

Customer Reviews
We were just talking about you yesterday as we came across the spoon used in training with you! We actually invoke your name with reverence because of what you taught us in working with Henry. He was such a wild one and has turned into the best adult dog. He is great on a leash with his harness, he is quick with his commands, and while he still talks at inappropriate times, he's able to watch the squirrels without losing his mind!
We moved from Dallas to California in February 2022 and he has made the move so well. He doesn't need to be sequestered while we are out of the house and hasn't jumped on anyone in a very long time. These are direct results of your work with us and him and we are so grateful!

Customer Reviews
Leo's Owner: My golden retriever, Leo, is so excited when we pull up to Carolyn’s house! He starts wagging his tail and swiftly moving back and forth across the backseat of my car. He can’t wait to jump out and run to the front door, eager to play and to see Carolyn and her dog, Libby! I feel so comfortable and relaxed taking Leo over for the day to Carolyn’s house, knowing that he will be enjoying playing. I have even left him for a week when I have been out of town, and he is as happy as can be. I know he is treated like a part of her family. He is not caged. He runs, goes on walks, plays, eats, and naps. He does not stay for the day in a crate. He is free to enjoy being a dog in a friendly, playful environment. Carolyn will also work on training Leo while he is staying with her, and she has helped to communicate with me about how to help him follow the commands. Carolyn is kind, experienced, and deeply cares about each dog that she takes care of and trains. She is wonderful!
Houser and Gypsy's Owner: Carolyn Nussman, owner of PAWsitive Canine Coaching provides an exceptional level of service you rarely see these days. Traveling is no more a concern now that I know my pups, Houser and Gypsy are in Carolyn’s hands. In fact, they are just as at home boarding with Carolyn as they are at my house, because of her love and true passion caring for and training dogs. Gypsy, my shepherd mix was not the social butterfly when she was rescued, but through Carolyn’s patience, wisdom and expertise – she is no longer the timid wallflower she was. Thanks, Carolyn & PAWsitive Canine Coaching, for my complete peace of mind when I am away and for the best training in the DFW metroplex!!!
Pouncy's Owner: Carolyn has taken care of our precious Boston Terrier, Pouncy, many times. We love being able to go out of town knowing that she will be in such great hands! Pouncy sleeps with us at home, and we love that she gets to sleep with Carolyn as well! Carolyn is such a passionate, gifted trainer, and knows how to give great customer service. She at times, will even send pictures showing what our puppy is up to, which are really fun to get as well! It is an added bonus that Pouncy gets to run loose, play with a new friend and gets a bit of instruction just from being there with Carolyn. I highly recommend Carolyn for boarding and training! We will never have her stay at the vet in a crate again!!! You will have a fabulous experience with Pawsitive Canine Coaching, and your pooch/pooches will have a blast while you’re away! 🙂
Max's Owner: My Basset Hound Max is my everything and anyone that knows me understands that leaving him with someone new is terrifying for me. I decided to use PAWSitive Canine Coaching for boarding for a short weekend instead of my usual friends. Carolyn was so welcoming, attentive and loving towards Max right away. He is extremely high maintenance (and stubborn) at 14 years old. His “special needs” require a lot of attention and patience. She updated me with pictures and said he was having a ball with the other dogs. She was around so much he didn’t even have one accident indoors which is amazing! I am absolutely impressed with how she handled the other dogs in her care all the while teaching them manners and rewarding good behavior. I will refer everyone to her for coaching and boarding and plan on using her again in two weeks. Consider your dog lucky to be in her hands.
4 and 8 year old dogs' Owner: Who says you can’t teach an old dog, new tricks, with Carolyn you can! My dogs are 4 and 8 and they have made great progress with Pawsitive Canine Coaching! Carolyn has helped us have our “babies” be better behaved when guests come and when they are out and about! Thanks Pawsitive Canine!
Pepper's Owner: Carolyn has been such a great resource for us as a family of 4, AND 1st time dog owners. She takes each of our personalities and helps us use each of our strengths to best teach & nurture Pepper. Carolyn was very positive when coaching us as a family on how to interact with Pepper. She lets us be individuals but yet reinforces the basic rules of Consistency and Positive Reinforcement.
Nash's Owner: My dog Nash is always in great hands when going to PAWSitive Canine Coaching. The professionalism, friendliness, reliability and excellent care Carolyn provides for her customers makes her my first choice when looking for a dog sitter.
