Camille Asmer, CDBC, CBCC, CPDT

Camille Asmer believes in building a bond with your dog and becoming a team together. She uses force-free, positive reinforcement methods, allowing the dog to make choices and not be punished for mistakes but instead be redirected into the preferred choices of behaviors. Positive reinforcement methods are based in science! Positively reinforced behaviors are the behaviors that reoccur most often. Camille wants the dog and client to both feel great about their training experience!

Susan Tondreau

Susan Tondreau's training philosophy is based on positive reinforcement and leadership. She believes in teaching dogs how to control their own impulses through positive reinforcement, rather than force. She emphasizes the importance of being a good leader, communicating clearly, and using modern science-based tools and techniques.

• Puppy Package: This package is designed for new puppy owners and covers topics such as crate training, house rules, socialization, and basic manners.
• Basic Manners Package: This package is for dogs who need help with basic obedience, such as loose leash walking, impulse control, sit, down, touch, name recognition, leave it, and socialization.

DogHaven LLC offers private and group obedience instruction, rally, manners training, clicker training, CGC testing, therapy dog testing with Paws 4 People, behavioral consultations, and agility classes.

Certifications are available. DogHaven serves the Charlotte area of Mecklenburg County, including Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson, Cabarrus County, Mt. Holly and Belmont in Gaston County, and Southern Rowan County in North Carolina.

Private and group training for agility, basic obedience, and rally obedience are offered. Private lessons are tailored for each client to provide solutions to meet individual needs. The goal is to make living with your dog easier and more enjoyable.

DogHaven training provides a development path from introduction to obedience and agility to competitive level training. Currently, 20 students have followed this path and are competing in either rally or agility trials.

Clicker training is available for those interested in formal classes or private training. CGC testing is scheduled twice a year, and preparation classes are offered. Trainers are encouraged to become CPDT certified.
