Jenny Chun

USA

Jenny Chun-Ossowski (Chun)

Jenny owes a huge part of her success as a dog trainer to her late pit bull mix, Lucy. In the ten years they spent together, Lucy gave Jenny an education on what it truly means to be a kind, gentle, and effective leader. Jenny made learning fun for Lucy and continues to do that for her current dog, Josie. Her methods are humane and based on the science of learning.
Jenny's background includes many years of volunteer work with shelters and rescue groups and she even worked for the corporate division of the ASPCA. She's spent over a decade training dogs in private lessons and group classes. She's studied with many of the leading animal behavior experts of today, including graduating at the top of her classes when she studied with renowned trainer and author, Pat Miller of PEACEABLE PAWS . Jenny's experience is extensive. She can help you with teaching your puppy basic manners or help you tackle your dog's anxiety or aggression problems. She is recommended by veterinarians and veterinary behaviorists in the local Tri-State area.

Customer Reviews

  • Janice, 'Hank' and 'Pepper' (South Orange, NJ): I cannot say enough good things about Jenny and her technique. I have had dogs all of my life and worked with many trainers, but she is by far the best. She really understands dog behavior and taught me how to address issues like aggression and anxiety in my dogs. She is creative in her approach and really listens to my concerns. I would highly recommend her to anyone and especially for dogs with issues. One of our dogs Hank had aggression issues and had bitten a few people. Since working with Jenny I have not seen any aggression in Hank. Our other dog Pepper is a border collie mix and Jenny has come up with some great games and ideas to keep her mind busy. It has been a pleasure working with her.
  • Jillian, 'Ruby' and 'Harlow' (Cranford, NJ): Jenny was so helpful when we got our dachshund puppy, Harlow, at just 8 weeks old. Not only did we need to train Harlow, but we had to help our 9 year old dachshund, Ruby, accept her and bond with her. I was also in a very emotional, stressed out state of mind because our other 9 year old dachshund, Lola, had just passed away. Jenny was great. She gave us so many great techniques and tips and gave me peace of mind.. She was very accommodating to my schedule. I am happy to say that Ruby and Harlow get along beautifully now and taking them for walks together has become a pleasure. I definitely recommend Jenny and Give Paw Dog Training.
  • Allison and 'Sully' (Maplewood, NJ): Jenny has changed our lives! Our dog, Sully, was so incredibly anxious, but we had no idea. We thought it was just him behaving poorly. With her amazing care and training (ours and Sully’s he is such a happier guy, and so are we. Jenny is truly amazing at what she does and we are forever grateful.
  • Jaime and 'Evie' (South Orange, NJ): We decided to have Jenny by to do some in home training for our new puppy and answer some questions. She is an immensely positive and supportive person. She taught us to read cues, guide our puppy and communicate with her.
We love her approach and were amazed by how much we learned in just one session. Our puppy had fun and is already mastering new tricks.
We will definitely continue to work with her.
  • Emma and'Frances' (South Orange, NJ): Jenny is AMAZING. So compassionate, clear and direct about how I could help my dog Frances. My highest recommendation for her!
  • Suzanna and'Kayla' (Montclair, NJ): Jenny recently started working with our dog Kayla, who fears so many things, especially strangers. We learned so much from Jenny! She is patient, insightful, and so knowledgable about canine behavior. She has a gifted balance of listening to our needs and giving us clear direction, reminding us along the way to celebrate Kayla’s progress and to stay positive through the set backs. Jenny’s coaching (followed by detailed email recaps of each session) gave me much more knowledge, handling skill, and confidence to work with Kayla on my own as she meets new people. Kayla has made great progress in our first 5 sessions with Jenny, and we are looking forward to more work with her soon!
  • Cara and 'Rustie' (Chatham, NJ): Jenny introduced me to clicker training, and it has worked wonders with my easily distracted 8-month-old puppy. It helps her focus on us, and makes training a much more positive experience. I’m definitely a visual learner, but Jenny has been able to explain everything to me step-by-step. She’s helped me to both conceptualize the techniques and to understand how they will shape my dog’s overall behavior. Most importantly—she’s helped me to think like a dog! Knowing her patience and dedication, I can’t imagine having a better trainer for my dog.
  • Amanda and 'Jameson' (Jersey City, NJ): Jenny came highly recommended by our vet and my boyfriend and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Our adopted dachshund, Jameson, has high anxiety and would rarely leave our sofa but with Jenny’s help, he has a new sense of confidence and is exploring on his own! Jenny’s techniques are simple to implement and she is super sensitive to our dog’s specific needs. We love Jenny and would certainly recommend her!
  • Annie, Adam, and 'Connie' (Prospect Heights, Brooklyn): Jenny’s brilliant. We had high expectations for Connie, but Jenny showed us how to a) achieve those and b) have even higher ones. Training went from being a chore (and a bit of a minefield where we were sending mixed signals / getting frazzled) to a series of games we all love. At first, dog training seemed $$$. Looking back, Jenny would be a bargain at twice the price. Absolutely essential.
  • Anne, Tom, and 'Chloe' (Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn): When we adopted Chloe, almost a year old, one of us had never had a dog and the other had not had a dog since childhood. The only command Chloe knew was 'sit' and she had a few behavioral issues, like herding and chewing. Jenny was great. She helped us address the behavioral issues and taught her several key commands. Chloe was always excited to see Jenny, and we learned some important concepts that will help us in teaching Chloe new skills with the clicker. Jenny followed up each session with a comprehensive email, and was also very responsive if we emailed questions between sessions. We would recommend her to anyone with a new dog, whether puppy or older.
  • Matt, Amanda, and 'Gola' (Park Slope, Brooklyn): I don’t know what we would have done without Jenny. Even before Gola arrived Jenny came over and gave us the basics we would need to bring our pup home. We were both nervous and she helped us figure out a routine and began 'training' us. With every session our pup gets smarter and more alert, and any bad behaviors Jenny has helped us curb rather quickly. Jenny’s enthusiasm and attitude is contagious…she makes us look forward to each session, and her caring makes us feel comfortable asking advice on what may feel like the silliest of questions. When Gola wasn’t sleeping and causing a ruckus in our entire building, Jenny came up with a plan to help relieve her anxiety (and ours).
We’d recommend Jenny and Give Paw to just about anyone we meet, and look forward to more lessons. Thanks Jenny!
  • Jackie, Kevin, and 'Luna' (Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn): We rescued Luna, a 7 month old terrier mix, last summer, and neither my husband or I had had a dog since childhood. So we signed up with Jenny for three sessions of 'dog-owner training'. She was great, meeting with us for two sessions in our home and one session at a public park. Luna loved her (of course) and she introduced us to clicker training methods that worked immediately. She was patient and in the rare instance where she did not anticipate our questions, she would still have the answer and a training solution. After each session Jenny followed up with a long email that included specifics about Luna and general training guidelines of the session we had just completed. Luna is now a happy, well-adjusted, well-behaved dog. We love her and she loves us. Jenny’s training helped make that happen. We would highly recommend this for any new dog owners, and as soon after you get your new pup as possible!
  • Emily, Dustin, 'Olive' and 'Mikey' (Midtown West, Manhattan): We went to Jenny to help us address Mikey’s behavior issues. Adding another dog to our canine family was quite an adjustment—we read books and online resources to help our newly adopted dog adjust to his new home, but we weren’t sure if this was going to work out. He was extremely hyper and had never been trained before.Jenny gave us helpful tips and exercises and Mikey’s about-face amazed us. He became the dog he always wanted to be. He just needed some encouragement and guidance. During the training we learned to be more patient and accept Mikey with all his personality. He’s our angel.
  • Sarah, Laura, and 'Ozzie' (Park Slope, Brooklyn): Thank you for all of your help. As a result of our work with you, Ozzie now has a great foundation for continued good behavior and responsiveness. Also, and perhaps most importantly, I think we’ve been able to preempt any possible problem behaviors early on! Besides providing us with solutions to keep Ozzie on the right track, you also gave us incredibly helpful tips and suggestions for helping him adjust to his new home. He’s doing great and we are grateful!
  • Adam, Dave, and 'Elphie' (Midtown West, Manhattan): This training was great for us, being new dog owners. We will recommend her to anyone we can.
  • Jeff, Janeen, 'Snoopy', and 'Connor' (Midtown East, Manhattan): Hi Jenny, I just wanted to thank you again for coming to Janeen’s house to work with Snoopy and Connor. Everyone was so encouraged by your way of training and how well the dogs were responding. We look forward to seeing you soon!
  • Bridget, Ryan, and 'Frankie' (Park Slope, Brooklyn): I’ve used Jenny and I can’t recommend her highly enough. My husband and I were having behavior issues with our 'energetic' Jack Russell and found Jenny/Give Paw online. Jenny is very professional, patient and her solutions make perfect sense. I like her big picture approach, which takes the owners’ behavior into consideration, and the way she always follows up with an email after the training sessions.
  • Luis, Janelle, and 'Nikita' (Park Slope, Brooklyn): Jenny gave us the necessary tools to have a wonderful relationship with our dog, Nikita. Each lesson Jenny was always patient and gave her full attention to our doggie needs and provided actionable solutions to any issue we were dealing with. We also enjoyed all the follow-up emails she sent after each lesson highlighting what was discussed.
Because we noticed how Nikita was so receptive with the dog training we plan on continuing with more lessons in the near future. Give Paw is great!
  • Laura and 'Bella' (Tribeca, Manhattan): Unlike many of her other clients, I hired Jenny to work with my dog when she was already 3 years old. Bella, my dog, is a pit bull who was rescued from an abusive situation. She has always exhibited aggression towards other dogs and fear of strangers at the door, but lately her behavior was becoming more problematic. I am so thankful that I found Jenny! She has experience with these types of issues, including with her own dog Lucy and was incredibly patient, knowledgeable and positive as she worked with us. Bella will never be a perfect dog, but her behavior has noticeably improved since we started working with Jenny and continues to do so as I practice the techniques I learned. Jenny helped make both my life and Bella’s life less stressful. Not only does she know a lot about dog behavior and training, but she has a wonderful, upbeat personality as well!
  • Emily and 'Sophie' (Park Slope, Brooklyn): Alison went above and beyond in helping us train our puppy, Sophie. She was dealing with separation anxiety, leash aggression, and excessive barking. Alison took the time to really examine her and her behaviors and give us multiple, inexpensive options to help rectify her mannerisms. Now, Sophie is happier and healthier thanks to Alison and we are so thrilled to her thriving! Thank you, Give Paw!

Customer Reviews

Kim Baxter, Exeter, RI - PumpkinPups is simply amazing. Viviane and her team are absolutely wonderful and by far the best trainers that I have ever encountered. I got my puppy right after the Covid-19 pandemic hit, and the virtual assistance they offered saved me! My puppy Bari, was exhibiting many undesirable behaviors such as mouthing, nipping, tearing clothes apart (while we were wearing them), etc. PumpkinPups helped us end and/or greatly reduce many of these behaviors in a short amount of time. I also learned how to socialize my puppy during the pandemic thanks to PumpkinPups, which was not easy. My pup has become extremely socially well adapted and very obedient. I frequently get compliments on his behavior while out and about with him. He is so well mannered now. Viviane and her team are so thoughtful and nonjudgmental in their responses. They really listen and are committed to individualizing solutions to your unique situation. Also, they have so many valuable low and no cost activities that help pups relax while meeting their need to be mentally stimulated. I am forever grateful to Viviane and everyone at PumpkinPups!!!

MC, pet parent to Doc - We started having trouble with our pup early on in the quarantine, which was terrifying because we didn't know how we'd be able to address it without seeing a trainer in person. Viviane at PumpkinPups was able to quickly meet us for a series of virtual training sessions that almost immediately improved things at home, plus providing us with lots of reading material and videos for reference in between sessions. I can't recommend these folks strongly enough!

Sherice, Marshmallow and Family - Thank you again for all of the training tips for our pup Marshmallow. In just 2 weeks after our virtual training session with Viviane, his behavior has completely changed. He is so much calmer. She gave us a lot of tools to help with his crazy outbreaks of nipping and biting, and he is just becoming so much more cuddle-y and friendly. Even though our session was via Zoom, Viviane was as hands on as she could be, coaching us step by step in how to train and handle Marshmallow. He's almost fully stopped biting and instead moved on to licking and giving a lot more kisses, it's the cutest thing! We still have some work to do of course, but we're so much more confident that we can manage him better now!

Erin & Sean - We've been with PumpkinPups since our Oso was a pup. Can't speak highly enough about their commitment to dogs and their overall competence. Every time we reach out to them they offer such great support. We always feel taken care of and their sensitivity to dog issues is unparalleled. During the quarantine, they've even done a live zoom session to help with all dog issues during this tough transition! If you're looking for training that gives you strong structure and support for a dog in the city, PumpkinPups is the place!

Danny H. - The leash handling you taught has made such an impact on my own walks with Billie! I've always tried to use the same technique but haven't paid much attention to how much I flap and swing it around.
Our walks have always been pretty relaxed but this takes it to a whole new level. I just wanted to let you know how big an impact it's made.

Customer Reviews

"Kim is a fantastic trainer!
When I first got my pup, I hired another trainer, but didn't like the methods she was using to redirect behavior. My vet recommended Kim and it was the best thing I did.
Kim taught and educated me about the benefits of positive reinforcement and my dog is so sweet and well socialized because of all the work and time Kim put in with us!! I always recommend her when someone gets a dog!"
-- Valerie & Rain

"Before working with Kim, we felt like we were prisoners in our own home. We couldn't leave our puppy, Elvis, alone in our apartment for even one minute without him barking nonstop!
Kim came over to meet us (and Elvis) in our own environment and then continued working with us virtually. Kim was always available to us when we needed her or had questions and pushed us to continue with the training even when we got discouraged. Having a dog with Separation Anxiety can feel very isolating and Kim made us feel way less alone throughout the training process. We are now able to leave Elvis alone for 4+ hours, which felt SO unattainable at the beginning.
We'd highly, highly recommend Kim to anyone who needs help conquering Separation Anxiety!"
-- Abigail & Elvis

"Working with Kim was great! We first met her when Atlas was about 5 months old and had just joined our family. She taught us all the useful basics, and set us up for success from the very beginning. With a strong foundation we were able to teach Atlas additional commands even beyond her visits, which have all proven to be very helpful.
Kim set us up with reading material, videos and lots of tips that helped us understand how to best educate our pup. When Atlas presented territorial and aggression issues at around 1.5 years we called on Kim again to help us "fix" those, she was once again super helpful and always made herself available to us via call or text. Highly recommend her work!"

Elizabeth H. "Kizz" Robinson has been helping families and their dogs slow down and figure each other out since 2014. She grew up with cats and always thought her life and schedule were too busy for a dog. In the mid-90s she adopted a German Shepherd mix, Emily, by accident. She had no idea at the time what kind of support and training could have helped her. Emily died in 2009. Almost a year after Emily's passing she adopted Eddie, a chihuahua mix. It soon became clear that Eddie wasn't going to thrive with a person who wasn't interested in understanding dog behavior. For over a decade she has been learning to help Eddie feel safe in his world and have fun. One of Eddie's trainers, Rikke Brogaard, said to her one day, "You're good at this. You should become a trainer." Soon after that she was sitting in a class taught by Rikke, Jenny Chun-Ossowski, and Viviane Arzoumanian, starting the journey toward 2B Dog Training and becoming a certified dog trainer.

Baffling Behaviors

These behaviors and others like them can be confusing and sometimes frightening. Elizabeth H. "Kizz" Robinson can help you get into sync with your dog. She has education and experience targeted toward the modification of challenging and complex behaviors.

Customer Reviews
Catherine: Fafner is a high spirited 16-month-old standard poodle. Kizz Robinson - 2B Dog Training - has been working with Fafner since the day he came home. She was at our house with a clicker and pocket full of treats, helping us make his crate a wonderful haven. His crate is still his favorite spot - this alone is worth gold.
As experienced dog owners, we realized training an urban puppy posed real challenges, and this time around we wanted HELP. Kizz Robinson cheerfully helps us recognize both good and undesirable dog behaviors and teaches us ways to effectively communicate with this smart, stubborn hairball.
Fafner likes to romp, jump like a randy goat, and enjoys long walks on the beach. He especially loves a mud bath with that special someone - and as an added bonus, 2b Dog Training even accompanied us to the 'Wash Your Own Dog' feature at our local groomer the first time he transformed into a hippo.
While Fafner is certainly still a work in progress, he's survived his terrible teens and is showing us moments of the affectionate, charming, mostly obedient guy he's becoming. Kizz Robinson at 2B Dog Training can take a lot of credit for this. She has been a HUGE help in providing and interpreting the operating manual for this nut.
I would recommend her to anyone wanting answers to the weird questions our dogs pose.

Mollie: I connected with Kizz when my year-old terrier rescue, Maggie, starting having problems with anxiety and fear-based aggression, and she's been an absolutely invaluable part of Maggie's training and evolution. Kizz is a terrific listener and is incredibly compassionate with both me and Maggie.

She helped me work through Maggie's issues, and was both creative and flexible in coming up with solutions.

Kizz is smart, resourceful, and also organized -- her training emails are incredibly thorough (and she will definitely make sure you do your homework!).
She trained me as much as she trained Maggie, and both of us are better off for it.

Jennifer and Peter: Prairie was like a fan of anxiety that unfolded in the first months we had her. Now I feel like we are doing EVERYTHING we can and her progress is better with all the pieces in place.
Kizz coaches you on how to be a good trainer for your own individual dog, she pivots her focus as things arise, and, she has the focus, experience and skill to stick long term with high needs dogs.

Lalta and Marilyn: We loved working with Kizz, who helped us turn our lil pup into a lovebug!
We get many compliments whenever we take her out as she is great with leash walking and very gentle.

Sasha: Kizz was so lovely, friendly, and made the techniques very accessible. She didn't make us feel judged if we messed up!
We had a sweet dog beforehand who had some challenging behaviors who became a dog we knew how to handle well and who behaved like a dream afterwards.
Hands down, hire Kizz!

Jennie: If your goal is to build a strong relationship with your dog and make changes that will last - this is for you.
Before we met Kizz it was very difficult to live with Fleet. It was a full time job trying to take care of him. Now we have a dog who is easier to live with and likes to have fun hiking and camping

LIzzy: We brought home a reactive rescue dog that didn't trust us and was a source of fear. After working with Kizz our dog has completely changed. She is a happy pup with so much love to give and rarely shows signs of fear and aggression towards us like she did before. We are very happy and grateful to have our dog today!
I recommend Kizz to people all the time! Especially if I see their pup is struggling. I say, 'The best thing we did for our dog was work with a behavior consultant to help her feel more confident and less reactive. It's so worth it to build trust with your dog and understand their behavior so they can feel safer and live a happier life! Our dog has come so far and I would definitely recommend working with someone if you are able to!'

Anonymous: I feel like our dog appreciates us more and is willing to listen more. Our quality of life together is so much better now!
I have tried to follow general advice on the internet and to do my own research. Having a set plan and how to deal with certain scenarios is more helpful, and I feel more confident knowing that a trainer is helping/guiding us along the way.
Life with our dog was stressful before, and it felt like things were hopeless and stuck the way they were. Now I feel so much more confident in figuring out what our dog needs/wants, and how to train him to provide the most happiness and comfort for him.
I trust Kizz a lot! While she is very knowledgeable about the methodical ways to train dogs in general, she also listens to the specific problems and situations of the dog and formats a plan based on that.
The detailed recap of the training sessions is a great resource to check whenever I need a reminder!

Kellie Lynn Stevens

United States

Kellie Lynn Stevens

Kellie is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) who has been working as a dog behavior consultant in New York City for the past 13 years. She was the lifelong guardian of a highly anxious and reactive dog in a bustling city, and learning to work with her dog using R+, FF training instilled a deep understanding and empathy for both dogs and their guardians. This experience fueled her passion to begin a career as a dog behavior consultant in 2014.

Training Philosophy

Kellie believes in Force-Free (FF), Positive Reinforcement (R+) training methods, which she describes as offering an incredible opportunity to deepen your bond with your dog and learn how to shape behavior you don't want to see into behavior you do - making life easier for everyone involved. She is committed to creating a safe, inclusive space that celebrates individual uniqueness and welcomes every race, gender, ethnicity, religion, orientation, ability, age (and dog breed!).

Services

Kellie offers a variety of services, including:

  • Virtual Consultation: A 60-90 minute assessment that includes valuable insights, personalized recommendations, and actionable resources. This is the gateway to success for every client.
  • Follow Up Sessions: Weekly or bi-weekly sessions to help clients reinforce the skills they've learned and continue their training journey.
  • Refresher Sessions: 30-minute sessions for established clients to reinforce previously taught behaviors/skills, address specific behavioral challenges, or fine-tune training plans in progress.

  • Pre-Dog Consultation: A 30-minute consultation for those considering bringing a canine companion into their life. This service includes identifying the best breed(s) to suit their lifestyle, guidance on finding an ethical breeder or rescue, key questions to ask breeders or rescues during the selection process, preparing their home for the arrival of a new puppy or dog, strategies for integrating a new dog with existing pets, and what to expect in the initial stages of dog guardianship.
  • Dog behavior consulting for businesses: Contact for rates.

Certifications

Kellie is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) and previously held the CCPDT Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) certification.

Specializations

Kellie specializes in adult behavioral issues such as shyness/fear, reactivity, fear-based aggression and biting, stranger danger, general and separation anxiety, resource guarding, and more. She is also well-versed in urban management and leash reactivity.

Training Methods

Kellie uses Force-Free (FF), Positive Reinforcement (R+) training methods. She does not use aversive methods or tools (e.g. prong or choke collars, e-collars, spray bottles, etc.) as she believes these are temporary 'fixes' that can worsen the situation over time.

Customer Reviews

Champion: 'Kellie is the absolute best. I worked with a few other trainers before someone referred me to her and she's by far my favorite! She not only brings her breadth of training knowledge to the table, but she takes the time to get to know you and your dog. She actually listens when you say something is or isn't working and then comes up with new ideas based on your individual pup instead of just giving general advice. She's helped me work with my pup on resource guarding, fear aggression, leash reactivity, and more. I've made more progress with my dog in the year+ working with Kellie than I did in the first two years I had her.'

Jinx: 'Kellie completely changed my relationship with my pup, Jinx. I thought I knew what I was getting into in adopting a high-energy bred, but NOPE! My little rescue quickly established herself as a complicated cutie with BIG feelings. Kellie taught us practical basics like loose-leashing walking and management, but more than that: she taught us how to communicate with each other, trust each other, and somehow even taught me - a first-time dog guardian - how to teach a purebred cattle dog to RELAX - how impressive is that?! She's the most accessible, inclusive, and responsible trainer we've worked with; this woman cares for her clients, and she cares hard.'

Phoebe: 'If you want to better your dog's quality of life as well as your own, strengthen your bond with your dog, and have fun... reach out to Kellie! We have worked with Kellie off and on for the past two years and can't say enough positive things about our experience. Kellie brought so much knowledge and compassion to each and every one of our concerns about our young and exuberant Havanese. She has taught us not only how to understand our dog, but how to apply her teachings in real life situations to continue the training journey on our own. Kellie is extremely professional, accessible and organized and sends thoughtful outlines before/after each training session so that we are all on the same page and confident in advancing our goals. She is well versed in behavioral issues and she also has the best ideas for enrichment activities so that while we're working on challenging things, we also have the opportunity to learn how to make our dog happy and fulfilled. Kellie truly cares about the humans and dogs she works with and I can't imagine where we'd be without her!'

Rex: 'This won't be another cookie-cutter approach to addressing your dog's issues—this a bespoke partnership that will set you up for successful outcomes with your dog for life. With Kellie you get so much more than a dog trainer. Her approach is compassionately tailored to meet individual circumstances and needs (your dog's and yours). Further, she has first-hand experience helping struggling dogs living in the city. That means she's especially good at applying the basic principles of management and behavior modification in environments that you can't control. The fact that my noise-sensitive dog is progressing (and happy) while living in trigger-laden NYC is a testament to her creativity and prowess. I can confidently say that the foundation I've built working with Kellie is evergreen—the principles I've learned will apply to every goal on our list and will help us weather any unforeseen curve balls in our future (and there will be curve balls I'm sure)... I will take refreshers with her of course, but she's essentially transformed this neophyte into a dog-savvy individual who finally believes she can give her dog the best life possible.'

Diana: 'Kellie is an expert trainer and educator and I can't imagine how my life with my dog would look if I hadn't gotten her help when I did. One of the first things Kellie taught me was that engaging in dog training would be an investment in mine and my dog's future - and she was so right! Because of my investment in Kellie's services, my relationship with my dog grew much stronger, and the stress associated with caring for a rescue dog with behavioral challenges dropped dramatically. Kellie taught me much more than specific commands: she taught me how dogs learn, play, communicate, and experience the world - and how I fit into that. Years later, I use the lessons Kellie taught me on a daily basis - her work is that foundational.'

Arnie: 'Highly recommend working with Kellie/Gonzo Dog Training! She helped me immensely in working with my 'cute and complicated' dog Arnie, a chihuahua rescue with a tendency to plant stubbornly on walks and exhibit aggression toward other humans/dogs. Turns out human instincts for how to solve these types of issues (talking/reasoning/yelling/pulling) are not terribly helpful when dealing with dogs! Kellie taught me effective strategies, which I have continued to practice and rely on since.'

Norm: 'Kellie is a total rock star, and makes the training process fun! I love how closely she listens to clients and tailors her training to each dog's behavior. She even provided a resources and product recommendations for us based on our training session, which took a lot of time/energy and super helpful. The switch to remote/Zoom training was a breeze, and we're so grateful we found her!'

Steve and Sally B. - "At 63, I hadn't owned a dog since I was 10 years old. When I brought home my Brittany spaniel Stesa of 7 weeks, I felt completely overwhelmed despite the many books I had read. A referral from a nearby animal rescue organization put me in touch with Andi, who made a house visit a few days later. Andi was a life-saver! She taught my wife and I how to walk Stesa, strategies for potty training, and gave us tips on useful supplies. I truly don't know how we would have made it through the first few weeks without Andi's help."
