Pets and People offers private and group classes for all levels of training, from puppy to competition. They specialize in problem-solving and behavior counseling, and also provide competition training for AKC obedience, Rally, agility, conformation, and tracking.
Their certifications and training equipment include clickers, food, toys, leashes, collars, agility equipment, and AKC obedience and Rally equipment. Their training philosophy is centered around providing the best training experience for every dog and owner, aiming to help them achieve a satisfying and enjoyable social relationship.
They primarily serve the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas, specifically Hidalgo, Willacy, and Cameron counties. Starting from March 1, 2011, Pets and People will be available for group and private training in the specified Texas area. Prior to that, they will be in transition from Central Texas but can respond to email or telephone requests.
With a wealth of experience, they have been teaching group and private dog training, including personal, club, and pet store classes since 1975. They offer training for both pet and competition purposes in a wide variety of AKC sports, with a specialization in puppy classes and problem-solving.
Beyond teaching, Pets and People actively competes in a wide variety of AKC dog sports with various breeds. They also have extensive experience in Papillon and German Shepherd Dog rescue, including significant expertise in problem-solving for rescue individuals of many breeds. Additionally, they have experience in testing and selecting service dog prospects of mixed and purebred origins.
