As the behavior and enrichment manager at Columbus Humane, Jane Smith is responsible for overseeing the behavioral well-being of the shelter dogs. She develops and implements enrichment programs to improve the mental and physical health of the animals.
Working closely with the staff, she assesses each dog’s behavior to create individualized training plans that address specific needs. Through positive reinforcement techniques, she helps the dogs develop better behavior, increasing their chances of finding loving homes.
Additionally, Jane educates and supports adopters by providing them with resources and advice for continuing the training and behavior modification at home. Her goal is to ensure that every dog has the opportunity to thrive in a caring and understanding environment.
