Pet Behavior Consulting Group offers private lessons, behavior consultations, phone consultations, shelter transition plans, temperament testing, board and train, and CGC testing—all conducted using positive methods.
Elise, the owner, specializes in mentoring other trainers, consulting with animal care providers, and occasionally assisting private clients with aggressive or problematic pets. She holds certifications through IAABC in the cat and dog divisions, AKC as a Canine Good Citizen evaluator, and CCPDT as a Professional Pet Dog Trainer.
Elise has extensive sheltering experience, having served as the Manager of Animal Behavior and Training at the Houston SPCA. Her work involved evaluating and working with various animals to ensure humane treatment within the shelter system. Additionally, she has been involved in launching two high-end boarding/training facilities.
As a guest lecturer for conferences and universities, Elise shares her expertise and also maintains an expert blog on pet behavior. While primarily serving the Pioneer Valley, she is available nationally for phone mentoring and consulting.
