Ashley Ohmit, owner and founder of
Delightful Dogs
, brings reliable and most up to date reward based training methods. With over 10 years working closely with dogs and as a trainer for over a year. Certified as of August 2020. Bringing the best type of training to you locally in Tehachapi.
Training Philosophy
Ashley uses science-based, humane approach to dog training called positive reinforcement training; This includes treats, toys, and fun. We focus on what the dog does instead of what the dog does “wrong”. Ashley uses a clicker in her training, a clicker is a toy noisemaker. Animal trainers make use of the clicker as an event marker to mark a desired response. The sound of the clicker is an excellent marker because it is unique, quick, and consistent.

Customer Reviews
Theresa (Apollo and Aurora):
“My babies training with Delightful Dogs in Tehachapi. She has been with us for over a year. She has become part of the family. She comes to our home and works with any issues in the home, works on walking on a leash, teaches them “tricks” based on our need. Putting toys away, touch chin (for bed ridden individuals), and any individual needs. She really knows and loves our dogs and they LOVE HER! She is really in the right business. If you need dog training or just want to make sure your babies are reaching their full potential, Ashley at Delightful Dogs, is amazing!! Trustworthy, professional and I think her prices are excellent. Thank you Ashley!”
