As a CPDT-KA and Truly Dog Friendly member, as well as a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, the trainer adheres to the code set forth by the Pet Professional Guild (http://petprofessionalguild.com/). This means that force-free training is paramount, which translates to no shock, no pain, no choke, no fear, and no physical force.
The trainer does not employ compulsion-based methods to train pets and exclusively works with families and pets in their homes. While the trainer does not discount the value of training centers, it is found that problem-solving is more effective when clients can apply learning in their own environment rather than having to figure out how advice fits their home situation.
Additionally, for some dogs, group training can be stressful, and they may find greater success learning in the comfort and familiarity of their home environment.
