With over 30 years of experience working with dogs, the passion for helping people and animals led to the establishment of Best Buddies Dog Training in 2015. Offering agility, basic obedience training, and socialization for puppies, adolescents, and older dogs, as well as workshops suitable for newly adopted dogs of any age.
Best Buddies Dog Training also provides fine-tuning of manners and behaviors in the Best Manners program. The owner and trainer firmly believes in using bond-based, positive, low-stress training methods, which have been scientifically proven to be successful, particularly with shy and fearful dogs. The approach involves replacing undesirable behaviors with positive ones and rewarding them accordingly.
Best Buddies Dog Training specializes in preparing dogs for roles such as Emotional Support Animals (ESA), Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification, and Pet Therapy designation. The owner and trainer emphasizes the importance of a happy dog leading to a happy family and ultimately a great life.
Operating in Barrow, Clarke, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson, the training environment is characterized by small workshops, consisting of 2-8 dogs and their owners. The interactive and enjoyable setting ensures that all basic commands are thoroughly taught to establish a solid foundation before advancing to additional training. Family members are encouraged to participate, and the smaller class size allows for focused, hands-on training tailored to the specific needs of each dog and owner.
