Alysha graduated from Moraine Park Technical College in 2014 with an associate’s degree in Business Management and graduated from University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and Leadership. Prior to opening A Dog’s Tale LLC, Alysha worked in education and case management roles. This professional experience shaped her ability to work with not only dogs but their guardians too. Alysha has extensive training in motivational interviewing, conflict resolution, and trauma informed care which contributes to her compassionate approach while working with clients.
There is a special dog who has influenced Alysha’s journey, her dog Diesel who is the inspiration for A Dog’s Tale LLC. Alysha adopted Diesel in 2011 and after having him home for a short time it became evident that he had some significant behavior needs. She knows that sharing life with a dog that is struggling can be emotionally taxing but you don’t have to navigate that alone. There is help!
Training Philosophy
Alysha believes in treating both dogs and their guardians with compassion and support. She values force-free, scientifically sound training methods.

Customer Reviews
“Alysha is amazing. SO professional. Awesome communication over the entire two week board and train. I completely trust her guidance and training techniques. Highly recommend Dog Training by Alysha to everyone I know.”
— Sam Rich
“Even in a class setting, everything is personalized to what will be most beneficial to your dog. My family’s nervous girl needs some socialization involving people and dogs, and as a (very) overprotective and selective person, there is no one else I would trust with her training. I can not say enough good things about Alysha. As someone who works in an animal hospital, her guidance in cooperative care is insanely helpful, and how excited she gets for you reaching (even the seemingly smallest) milestones with your own pet make it impossible to not stay motivated. Thank you SO much Alysha for all you do and continue to do!”
— George & Charlie
“Alysha was so patient and listened to the concerns I had with Finn and designed training to fit his learning style. She takes time in classes to work with each dog/owner individually. Everyone at a dog’s tale has a positive upbeat personality which makes classes extremely enjoyable. I have taken 3 classes with Finn and would recommend them all.”
