Alexa, born in Yorkshire, England, and raised on a small island ten minutes east of Miami, Florida, holds a Biology degree from Southern Methodist University and a master’s degree in Marine Biology from NOVA Southeastern University.
Her experience includes interning at the Miami Seaquarium (MSQ) as a Marine Mammal Trainer, where she worked with sea lions, seals, dolphins, and killer whales using operant conditioning. Following five years at MSQ, Alexa founded Key Biscayne Pet Training, expanding into Miami. Her expertise in positive reinforcement training has made her a household name on Key Biscayne. Alexa’s portfolio includes working with dogs, cats, birds, pigs, snakes, and marine mammals.
